Class-V girl ‘gang-raped’, filmed in Barisal

Barisal Correspondent: A fifth-grade girl student was reportedly gang-raped in Agailjhara upazila of Barisal on September 18.

The victim, as a plaintiff, filed a case with the local police station on Wednesday (September 27), over the incident.

It was said in the case statement that one Munna Talukder and some of his cohorts forcefully confined the victim and afterwards raped her, while she along with her friends and a cousin went near one Sodai Bain’s house in Choddomeda village, en route to a nearby canal for visiting.

Munna Taluker was identified as son of one Majid Talukder in Chengutia village.

The scene of violating the girl was also filmed, said the statement.

The girl’s friends were beaten and even one of them was forced to have sex with the victim, the statement added.

However, Abdur Razzaq, investigation officer of the case, said that they are trying to nab the accused.

The details of the incident could be known once the investigation is done, he added.

However, allegation has been raised that the accused collected ransom money, taking hostage three friends of the victim.
